CBS Sports to Air Three More Broadcast Specials Featuring Final Stretch of the 2026 Season

FORT WORTH, TX, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) is pleased to announce that the Powerball® DGPT Playoffs will be featured on CBS Sports this fall, rounding out the content slate for the extended national distribution agreement announced earlier this year.

Following a slate of early-season broadcast specials, including a June program showcasing Paul Ulibarri’s emotional, long-awaited victory at the Barbasol Open at Austin, CBS Sports Network will air three new one-hour post-produced specials highlighting the final stretch of the 2026 DGPT season.

Co-produced by JomezPro and the Disc Golf Network (DGN), the upcoming programs will feature action from the following tournaments.

1. Green Mountain Championship presented by Discmania | Air Date: Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2:00 PM ET

2. MVP Open x OTB | Air Date: TBA

3. DGPT Powerball Cup | Air Date: TBA

Broadcast dates and times for the MVP Open and Powerball Cup programs will be announced soon. Check your local listings or visit cbssportsnetwork.com to find your local CBS Sports Network channel or streaming provider for up-to-date information.

This run of broadcast specials will kick off with coverage from the Green Mountain Championship at Smugglers’ Notch Resort. The special will center on FPO star Ohn Scoggins, who delivered a clutch, single-hole playoff victory over Missy Gannon to capture her first-ever GMC title. The win marked Scoggins' fourth victory of the 2026 season and the 10th DGPT title of her career, moving her into 11th on the all-time FPO wins list and locking up the No. 1 position in the DGPT Powerball World Standings. The episode will also feature MPO champion Raven Newsom, who completed a stunning final-round comeback to earn his maiden Tour victory in his 93rd career start.

As part of the DGPT’s ongoing distribution agreement with CBS Sports Network, these recap-driven specials are designed to bring professional disc golf to broader audiences by highlighting the biggest moments in a compelling story-driven format.

“From breakthrough victories earlier this year to the drama of the Powerball DGPT Playoffs and the season-ending Powerball Cup, these specials give us another opportunity to showcase the world's best players, highlight our partners and host communities, and introduce new fans to the sport,” said DGPT CEO and Tour Director, Jeff Spring. “We’re excited to continue working with CBS Sports and to expand the reach of professional disc golf and give sports fans a chance to witness the magic we’ve seen on the course all season long.”

Programming airing on CBS Sports Network is produced collaboratively by JomezPro and the Disc Golf Network, pairing live broadcast expertise with post-produced storytelling tailored for national television audiences.
